In the mood for some fictional reading?
Do you need to check out a few children’s books for an EDU course?
The Johnson County Public Library (JCPL) may have a fictional title that is not on our shelves.
All you need is a JCPL library card.
Who can get a JCPL library card?
All Franklin College students, faculty, and staff are eligible for a JCPL card.
What does a JCPL card allow me to do?
A JCPL library card allows you to check out resources from any of its library branches (Franklin,
Clark-Pleasant, Trafalgar, and White River). A JCPL card will entitle you to borrowing privileges and access to their online resources.
Where is JCPL located?
The Franklin Branch of JCPL is located at 401 State Street in Franklin. The library sits right behind Franklin College’s football field and across from the city pool and community center.
When can I get a JCPL library card?
You can get a card at the Franklin branch during their operating hours:
Monday – Thursday: 9 am – 9 pm
Friday: 9 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm
Sunday: 1 pm – 5pm (Labor Day-Memorial Day)
Why would I want/need a JCPL library card?
JCPL’s fiction and juvenile collections are much larger than those at Hamilton Library. EDU students benefit from the vast Children’s and Teen’s Collections that JCPL has to offer. All students, faculty, and staff can usually find a fictional piece of literature at JCPL when we don’t have it. Additionally, JCPL’s libraries have a selection of downloadable ebooks.
How do I get a JCPL library card?
Present your Franklin College OneCard at JCPL’s front desk.
They will have you complete an application and issue a card to you immediately.
